"We are ready to meet again face to face"

Expo Seguridad México

Mexico. In order to publicize the details of its next face-to-face edition, Expo Seguridad México, the event that brings together and informs public and private security professionals in Mexico, held a meeting with the media headed by Jorge Hagg, director of the event, along with Armando Zúñiga, president of Coparmex CDMX and CEO of the IPS Group, and Jaime Gutiérrez Casas, Director General of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Due to the conditions caused by the pandemic, Expo Seguridad México, an RX event (formerly Reed Exhibitions), had to temporarily suspend its traditional format and adapted to the virtual environment to organize virtual meetings and conferences for much of the previous year and even in the course of this 2021, but thanks to the current context, the event can be held in person from November 2 to 4 at the facilities of the Citibanamex Center of the CDMX, celebrating the 18th edition.

For Jorge Hagg, director of Expo Seguridad Mexico, the return to their traditional headquarters will allow them to continue with the restart that RX has scheduled for some of the events in their portfolio in Mexico. "There have already been some sister events that have returned to their traditional format since August, and we are prepared to meet again face-to-face with our customers, suppliers, visitors and public and private sector security professionals, but under the conditions imposed by the new normal."

30 months, starting from the 2019 edition, will be reflected in this event that plans to receive almost 300 exhibitors, and will open the doors to visitors and invite them to meet the guidelines set by the authorities of the CDMX, in addition to the fact that there will be amortization zones that will help control the flows of people. "Our protocols are defined by the parameters and recommendations of the government of Mexico City, RX, and Centro Citibanamex. to offer a safe event that safeguards the health and safety of all our participants, as it is our number one priority," explained Hagg.

For his part, Armando Zúñiga, president of Coparmex CDMX, stressed that the private security sector in the country generates 1.7 of the Gross Domestic Product, and provides employment to almost 800 thousand people in all its specialties, which includes technology, armor, security guards, among others, and until before the pandemic, they had reached a growth of up to 15% per year, "However, we must point out that there are companies that do not comply with official requirements, which represents a challenge for the entire security sector in Mexico."

News
It should be noted that within the novelties that are expected from November 2 to 4, the organizing committee of Expo Seguridad Mexico has prepared a series of demonstrations in which the best practices of security and personal protection will be exhibited, you will be able to see how some security solutions operate, and there will be a central arena of conferences in which the keynote presentations will be given, In addition, there will be talks focused on success stories, live exhibitions and personal and professional experiences. "Additionally, there will be three traditional conference rooms where personal protection and health at work will be discussed, and issues related to fire protection and law enforcement," added Jorge Hagg.

In his turn, Jaime Gutiérrez Casas, top regional director of the NFPA, commented that we are at a turning point in the fight against climate change, "in which we see that the global temperature could increase 1.5 degrees globally, which would lead to problems, when already in itself, so far this year, six thousand 766 forest fires have been registered in 32 states, affecting an area of 602,379 hectares, according to figures from the National Forestry Commission, which indicates that eight out of ten fires are caused by man."

Finally, Jorge Hagg, indicated that registration for the event is free, through the link https://na.eventscloud.com/ereg/newreg.php?eventid=602202&categoryid=4075960&preload%5b44 and visitors will be able to know in advance the conference program and the activities prepared on the website www.exposeguridadmexico.com . We will welcome you with great enthusiasm from November 2 to 4."
