Colombia. The second version of the "Security Strategic Thinking Forum: Generating tools to face new risks and challenges" will be held at the Agora Convention Center in person from November 22 to 24, 2021. There, the most important actors in the sector will meet to strengthen the integration of corporate, public and private security.
The importance of this forum becomes relevant in decision-making. According to figures from the District Security Secretariat of Bogotá, between January and August of this year there were 65,207 cases of theft from people, 12,000 more than those reported the previous year during the same period.
Likewise, according to a survey published by Invamer, 92.8% believe that security has worsened in the capital, so initiatives like this become not only important but of extreme urgency to safeguard and improve the quality of life of all Colombians.
It is then that Patricia Acosta, director of the Security Forum argued that: "We are part of an increasingly complex world, on account of different types of threats and risks that are capable of generating serious physical, emotional, moral and economic damage to the human being, to the normal operation and business prestige and to the security and defense of nations. Given this situation, initiatives such as the Strategic Thinking Forum on Security are relevant to face and find solutions to the current situation in the country. It is worth mentioning that, security not only benefits the quality of life of human beings, it is also a determining factor to attract greater public and private investment to cities."
In this sense, Fabio Lugo, member of the academic committee of the Forum, added that, "the situation that we are suffering since the beginning of 2020, due to a global biosanitary pandemic and unprecedented in the recent history of humanity, continues to test us; and only those organizations, companies and institutions that have and maintain a high level of Strategic Thinking of Personal, Patrimonial and Industrial Security, will be able to successfully overcome the inherent challenges, both in the present tense and in the immediate future, "he emphasized.
It is worth noting that the Forum will provide participants with a high-level specialized networking with experts in public and private corporate security, cybersecurity and cyberdefense, citizen security and safe cities, personal and patrimonial security. It is the opportunity to update security strategies and achieve a better management of the new challenges and risks we face in the economic reactivation.
Finally, it should be noted that the protocols implemented by Ágora have the "SafeGuard" seal of Bureau Veritas and the "CheckInn Certificate" of the MINCIT.
