International. Hikvision introduced new professional video surveillance camera solutions with ColorVu imaging technology. Available in indoor and outdoor PT (pan, tilt), turret, and bullet configurations, Hikvision ColorVu cameras deliver vivid, high-resolution color images in virtually any lighting condition, including lightless environments, incorporating a unique combination of high-performance image sensors, advanced lenses, a large iris, and supplemental onboard lighting.
"Hikvision's ColorVu technology provides users with the three features most demanded by today's security professionals: high-performance color surveillance imagery, cost-effectiveness and reliable operation," said John Xiao, vice president of marketing for Hikvision USA. "In addition to their competitive price, ColorVu cameras eliminate the need for additional lighting products and all the costs associated with long-term installation and maintenance, while providing all the inherent benefits associated with color surveillance images."
In addition to their high-performance image sensors, advanced lenses, a large iris, and supplemental onboard illumination, Hikvision ColorVu cameras feature self-adapting 3D digital noise reduction (DNR) to ensure high-quality full-motion images and videos for a wide variety of applications. Hikvision ColorVu cameras are available in 2 MP and 4 MP resolution with H.265+ video compression technology to save bandwidth and storage.
The latest addition to the Hikvision ColorVu camera lineup is the DS-2DE3A400BW-DE PT (Pan, Tilt), which features a 3-inch, 4mm fixed lens with a minimum illumination requirement of just 0.0005 lux. The camera's advanced processing includes object detection to decipher between human and vehicular movements against false alarm indicators such as animals, rain or fallen leaves.
Additional features include a built-in microphone and speaker to deter intruders and an IP-66 rated outdoor housing. The video and audio functions of the new ColorVu PT can also be accessed and controlled remotely using Hikvision's Hik-Connect app.
