Axis Communications and Ingram Micro seal alliance

Axis - IngramLatin America. Axis Comunications reported that it has included Ingram Micro within its portfolio of authorized distributors, in order to expand its presence in the video surveillance market in Central America, the Caribbean and South America and deploy an important network of more than 12 thousand channels for the generation of new electronic security projects.

Together, both companies will be promoting network video and audio solutions, in addition to enhancing a core security solution that materializes in the Axis Camera Station video management software (VMS). On the other hand, they will seek the incorporation of analytics to the market and intercoms of 2N, which as of December 2020 was integrated into Axis' operations in Latin America.

The incorporation of Ingram Micro to the network of wholesalers will complement and enhance the program for the distribution channel in South America by significantly expanding access to solutions, products and services of guaranteed quality, for a new group of customers, adding a partner for Axis that will help achieve the objectives and goals for the business of 2021.

Leopoldo Ruiz, Regional Director for Axis Communications in Latin America commented that "the benefits for our existing channels and those that we managed to capitalize on at the beginning and course of this alliance will not only be at a financial level (which will be achieved through Ingram Micro, thanks to the possibility of maximizing its potential as an investment fund), but our existing and new partners will be able to find a range of security solutions that will allow them to strengthen their offering to customers."

One of the added values of Ingram Micro is that it has integrators that are present in virtually all vertical segments. Today Axis' proposal is to gain ground in vertical segments throughout the latitude of Latin America, in order to achieve a balance in all the countries of this region, mainly in Central America, the Caribbean, and countries such as Chile, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

Another of the most important benefits is that end users will be able to find a solution provider that can operate through integrators at the local and regional level, thus making it easier for multinational companies with operations in Latin America to work with Axis and Ingram Micro through an extended channel structure throughout the continent.

"Strengthening this strategic business alliance will give us the possibility to expand our presence in this segment of solutions for Latin America and doing so through Axis gives us the confidence to know that we are working with a manufacturer of cutting-edge solutions. For us, Axis is a fundamental complement that comes to complete the security offer

electronics that we want to offer to our customers and channels, in addition to positioning ourselves as a value-added distributor in the region." Commented Julio Morán, Physical Security Manager for Ingram Micro in Latin America

The ability to be with a wide variety of integrators in sectors such as retail, government, banking, mining, oil, gas, hospitality, data centers, etc., will allow both companies to enhance their presence and consolidate themselves as leaders in electronic video surveillance solutions. In addition, it will strengthen the success of the Axis-Ingram Micro relationship that already exists in the local American market in the United States.

Ingram Micro is an expert in the distribution of technological and value-added solutions. In Latin America they attend all commercial opportunities for clients through a regional team in their Export Center in Miami, Florida serving the entire territory of Central & Caribbean, English Caribbean and South America; and also has extended offices in Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.
