International. ASIS International, the Electronic Security Association (ESA), the Monitoring Association (TMA), the PSA Safety Net and the Security Industry Association (SIA) released a joint statement in response to the recent attack on Verkada that left Tesla and other private spaces exposed.

As representatives of the security professionals and security solution providers responsible for protecting people and assets around the world, our organizations have long advocated and promoted strong education on cyber readiness and compliance with international cybersecurity standards. We share a unified vision to continuously strengthen the cyber readiness practices of all stakeholders within the security ecosystem.
We believe that a considerable number of manufacturers and integrators today recognize the importance of developing robust cyber hardening features within product and system design. Equally important, the security professionals responsible for implementing these solutions expect a clear commitment to cyber readiness from their technology partners. We realize that even with the best reinforcement of devices, tools, and technology, the risk of cyberattack is never zero. Building a community of partnership and trust between the industry and its many stakeholders helps us share information and learn about the evolving threat landscape so we can be better prepared and learn from common challenges.
To help meet these expectations and protect sensitive information from being compromised as a result of increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks, ASIS International, the Electronic Security Association (ESA), the Monitoring Association (TMA), the PSA Security Network and the Security Industry Association (SIA) have delivered a substantial volume of engaging content in the form of face-to-face and virtual educational conferences and workshops, online training, articles, and best practices aimed at educating security personnel on how to minimize cyber risk.
