International. Amag Technology and iDentytech Solutions announced the integration of Amag's Symmetry Access Control 9.3 software with iDentytech's IDT Sapphire biometric reader. The integration enables biometric door access and/or credential access within Symmetry.
IDT Sapphire readers use biometric authentication technology called PalmSecure, an algorithm and palm vein recognition camera, both from Amag. Both brands have tested and certified the integration.
This integration provides users with flexible access options. Users can deploy only cards, cards, or biometrics or both, or only access by biometrics. With multi-factor identification, Symmetry users can ensure that their installation is only accessible by authorized individuals and limits the security risk from credential theft.
"Amag's integration partners are important components within Symmetry's security solution. With the addition of biometric technologies such as iDentytech, Symmetry users can ensure the security of their facilities," said Jason Schimpf, Vice President of Amag Technology.
"iDentytech is proud to bring our full line of biometric readers to Amag's Symmetry 9.3, with our direct integration for seamless enrollment and biometric management all from within Symmetry," said iDentytech's director of customer and support relationships.
