International. Invixium announced two new advancements for its flagship device, IXM TITAN: mask detection and facial recognition while wearing a mask. This addition is included in the upcoming version of IXM WEB 2.2.40.0 and the FIRMWARE VERSION TITAN 2.4.40.0.
Instead of rebuilding safety plans for users wearing masks, current and future IXM TITAN owners can now enable mask detection and facial recognition while wearing a mask and continue to use the solution's contactless facial recognition capabilities with minimal disruption.
"Invixium prides itself on constantly adapting to exceed market expectations," said Shiraz Kapadia, CEO and President of Invixium. "Adding mask detection and facial recognition while wearing a mask is the need of the moment and a natural step as we work with our partners to ensure businesses can reopen safely. We know the world has changed and we work tirelessly to ensure health, safety and productivity for our customers as the market continues to evolve."
Mask detection allows IXM TITAN to recognize whether a visitor or employee is wearing a mask or not, and inform users without masks to put on one if masks are an entry requirement. Facial recognition while wearing a mask is ideal for companies where employees demand to meet this requirement, as IXM TITAN can now authenticate with facial recognition without asking the wearer to first remove the mask.
These new updates work in conjunction with the IXM TITAN Enhancement Kit to develop Invixium's COVID-19 solution. The enhancement kit allows IXM TITAN to perform temperature detection in the inner edge (tear duct), the most accurate method of non-contact body temperature assessment, at a rate of 12 to 15 users per minute with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 oC (0.9 oF).
IXM WEB 2.2.40.0 is a significant update with several exciting new features, such as IXM Health, a new licensed feature that is combined with the Enhancement Kit to monitor staff and visitor health with temperature-based reporting tools; allocation of multiple access cards (up to 10 cards per user) so that companies that issue multiple cards to the same user can fully employ TITAN's card reading functions; noteworthy updates to IXM Link integrations; and customizable workflows for Mask Detection and Facial Recognition events while wearing a mask.
To better support this IXM WEB update, Invixium will no longer support the previous version 1.xo of IXM WEB. Existing customers will need to upgrade to IXM WEB version 2.2.40.0 to continue receiving technical support.
