The perimeter security system, developed by Nightingale Security, and distributed by Casmar, integrates robotic technology and Artificial Intelligence, which allow its operation in a totally autonomous way. This system is composed of the drone, called Blackbird, the charging base, and the Mission Control Software through which the devices are managed.
The Nightingale charging base is the communication hub of the drone fleet, allowing the system to always be ready to operate. In addition, all data collected by the system is processed and stored in its own firewall, ensuring, compared to cloud-based solutions, that the data is safe.
The Mission Control software, patented and developed by specialists from SpaceX, NASA and Willow Garage, is the center of the system, providing security teams with decision support with real-time information, with the sole objective of maintaining the highest security in the facilities. Mission Control provides autonomous remote operations (ARO), so no human intervention is needed to maintain operational continuity.
The advantages of using Nightingale Security's high-tech system, compared to conventional systems, are innumerable. According to Jordi Alonso, Director of Casmar's Video Division, it is worth noting "the ability to respond quickly and automatically to alarm events; autonomous take-off, patrol, landing and reloading; scheduled round flight missions; software available from anywhere and at any time; live video streaming to multiple users simultaneously; dual, visible and thermal sensor; scalable platform and object recognition with automatic tracking."
In short, as Jordi Alonso assures "it is a solution for perimeter protection like no other". In addition, very soon the possibility of real demonstrations in Madrid will be available; "It is such a complete and innovative system, that the customer really has to try it to discover the scope and advantages that it can bring in their facilities," adds Alonso.
