Hikvision launched new series of cameras with artificial intelligence algorithms

Hikvision cámaras nuevas 2021International. Hikvision announced the addition of the Dedicated Subseries to its entire line of DeepinView cameras, which includes several AI-powered Deep Learning algorithms in a single unit, which can be switched to place five or six unique cameras on a single deck.

"The annexation of switchable algorithms is a significant step for Hikvision in its AI product development. In an ever-evolving world of technologies and functionality, this approach creates great value for end users to introduce new security technologies, and implement business intelligence and other applications," said Frank Zhang, President of Hikvision's International Product and Solutions Center. "The benefits of our new offerings are numerous: reduced costs, improved efficiency, and rapid and effective responses to incidents."

Switchable algorithms
Dedicated DeepinView cameras combine two product categories: the first is vehicle analysis where the cameras harmonize automatic license plate recognition (ANPR) with vehicle attribute recognition. Attributes include the make, color, and direction of movement of the vehicle. Typical uses include installation at checkpoints on streets and at entrances and exits of buildings or industrial parks.

The second-category models feature six switchable Deep Learning algorithms on a camera cover, including facial recognition, face counting, helmet detection, perimeter protection, row management, multi-target detection, and varied types of targets in one go. Consequently, users only have to manually enable an algorithm for dedicated use, and then change the algorithm as needed.

Example
Helmet detection. This algorithm can be used on construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Specially equipped DeepinView cameras can accurately distinguish between workers wearing helmets and those not, and automatically send alerts when this breach of the safety standard is detected.

Another example may be in a store, where a face counting feature can be enabled to accurately calculate incoming and outgoing customers. Repeat customers and store staff can be automatically excluded from the process, helping management count new customers accurately.

Notably, flexibility between algorithms also allows users to switch between:
• Perimeter protection: to monitor outdoor areas that need security with activation of precise alarms against intrusions.
• Facial recognition: to grant authorized access to restricted areas in school laboratories, archive rooms, hospital pharmacies and other environments.
• Queue management: to better understand customer wait times, optimize staffing levels and improve the customer experience.

Dedicated DeepinView cameras are equipped with Hikvision's DarkFighter and LightFighter technologies, allowing you to capture vivid, color images in very low-light environments or in scenes with strong backlights, where color and brightness balance is extremely difficult. Smooth Streaming guarantees a high-quality live stream.

The new devices are available in resolutions of 2, 4, 8 and 12 MP for customers to choose from. In addition, metadata support allows third-party platforms to receive data from Hikvision cameras for real-time video analysis or recordings for a quick search for forensic evidence. Finally, models for outdoor use feature Vibration Detection, which detects and notifies users of vandalism.
