United States. The face-to-face fair, which was scheduled to take place from October 5 to 8 of this year, has been canceled due to the current circumstances that the industry and the market in general are going through.
The organizers, Reed Exhibitions, along with title sponsor SIA (Security Industry Association), will transform ISC West 2020 into a fully virtual event from October 5-7.
"While we are very disappointed that we are not able to meet face-to-face this year in Las Vegas, we look forward to continuing to help the ISC West community participate through digital programs, resources and connections. Our team, along with our valued partner, Sands Expo and Venetian, is working on detailed planning and protocols for ISC West 2021, which will take place March 23-26, 2021," said Will Wise, Group Vice President, Reed Exhibitions.
"At SIA, we sincerely regret not being able to meet personally in Las Vegas in 2020. We know the importance of ISC West to our community and we know we have a responsibility to adapt to our industry during this period. We will continue to provide our members with timely information and resources on an ongoing basis. We look forward to producing a great virtual event with the ISC team, anchored by a compelling SIA Education@ISC conference program delivered in a dynamic format in October," said Pierre Trapanese, President of SIA.
"We will soon be releasing additional information about the ISC West 2020 virtual event, including formats for education, focus groups, matchmaking, solutions and technologies showcased, plus elements to celebrate the safety community and support our charitable partner Mission 500 and its key role in helping children and families in crisis," stated Mary Beth Shaughnessy, Events Director, ISC Security Events.
"With respect to ISC East 2020, our smaller-scale, more region-focused event scheduled for November 18-19 in New York City, we will evaluate the viability of the event over the next 8-10 weeks with guidance from the Javits Center, New York State and New York City Authorities. We will continue to consult with SIA, the ASIS NYC Chapter and other supporters of the Northeast regional associations, along with our loyal community of attendees, speakers and exhibitors. Our safety community is engaged and resilient and we look forward to continuing to come together and adapt to everyone to chart the course forward."
