International. HID Global unveiled its latest International Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance certifications for its manufacturing facility in Malta. The certifications confirm that all the processes and procedures of its facilities comply with rigorous quality (ISO 9001), environmental (ISO 14001) and safety (ISO 14298) requirements.
"HID's ISO certifications reaffirm our commitment to equipping governments, large or small, with world-class identification documents that are manufactured and inspected using processes that meet the industry's most recognized and respected regulatory standards," said Jessica Westerouen van Meeteren, vice president and managing director of HID Global's Citizen Identification division.
Hid's Malta-based plant was founded in 2009 and has since delivered more than 70 million reliable identification documents, such as passport books, to its customers around the world.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest designer and publisher of international standards for the implementation of quality and other management systems.
The areas of attention of the ISO 14001 environmental certifications obtained by HID in multiple facilities include compliance with regulations, pollution prevention, minimization of the use of energy and resources, while ISO 9001 certification guarantees the quality and safety of our different processes and products. Through its certification program—one of whose achievements is to position HID as one of the first companies to receive ISO 14298 safety certification in all of its manufacturing facilities—HID continues to reinforce its long-earned reputation for quality.
