Latin America. The current situation that the industry is experiencing due to the pandemic has led Hikvision to innovate in its strategies to continue adding value to its distribution channel.
Camilo Muñoz, Channel Sales Director of Hikvision Mexico (pictured), comments that at Hikvision they work so that their distribution channel, resellers, system integrators and installers continue with their business, through various supports, from webinars with technical and commercial themes, to create inventive campaigns that allow them to get out of stagnation and avoid being part of the possible recession.
"Our Dealer Partner Program (DPP) has undergone some modifications that will benefit our employees, in order to provide them with the best tools, continuous advice and improvements in the business development of electronic security. We want partners to know that our commitment is the development of technology and innovation in the field of security and video surveillance, which is ready for implementation in the local market."
Adjustments for the benefit of the distribution channel and news
The executive says that they have maintained a closer relationship with DPP distributors, who continue to develop projects. The goal, he says, is to help them generate demand and provide them with greater accessibility to the daily rebates and trainings of various solutions. He emphasizes that the most important thing is to give the channel more accessible prices to give them a greater profit margin and to sustain the operation in these times of contingency. He adds that for those who sell On-Line and continue with their stores open, they support them with digital materials, in online campaigns, so that they have sales opportunities through social networks.
He adds that product demonstrations and solutions are an important element in ensuring the trust of potential customers. That's why Hikvision makes it easy for its collaborators to purchase demo products.
"We have thermal technology that our channels know very well, but now we include new MinMoe facial recognition terminals that facilitate access control, times and attendance. Our closeness to our channels is so strong that we work every day to be able to provide them with all kinds of support, tools, solutions and products to meet the diverse needs of our customers, always accompanied by a team of committed professionals so as not to leave them alone in this contingency".
Camilo Muñoz comments, finally, that this pandemic will change the way of doing business, so Hikvision is preparing for possible changes: "Where will there be business? We are confident that there will be great project and infrastructure opportunities. The contingency is leading us to take preventive and non-reactive measures, so we work on various solutions with intelligent analytics, which allow us to meet the needs of the market that emerge from this global health contingency".
