International. Altronix introduced new additions to its Tango PoE Driven Supply/Charger. Tango provides huge savings by leveraging low-voltage installation methods, eliminating the need for an electrician and dedicated ducts and cable laying.
The new series offers 12 V DC and 24 V DC simultaneously through 8 or 16 outputs to power access control and security devices from any 802.3bt PoE source up to 90 W. A single LiFePO4 battery provides backup for 12 V DC and/or 24 V DC systems.
"We have expanded our Tango series to accommodate the installation requirements of larger security and access systems," said Alan Forman, president of Altronix Corporation. "These new products further leverage the inherent benefits of using PoE to efficiently power access control and further reduce the overhead associated with implementing conventional access control."
The new Tango series includes:
- Tango8A - Access power controller with Power Supply / PoE Driven Charger. Includes 8 trigger inputs and 8 PTC-protected access control fuses or outputs.
- Tango8P - Multi-output PoE power supply/charger. Includes 8 ptC-protected fuses or power outputs.
- Tango8AP - Access power controller with power supply / multi-output PoE charger. Includes 8 trigger inputs, access control protected by 8 fuses or PTC and power outputs.
The new Tango series supports Altronix subassemblies including: Altronix PDS8 dual-input power distribution modules that distribute 12VDC and/or 24VDC over a total of eight (8) PTC-protected selectable fuses or outputs; and Altronix's ACMS8 Dual Input Access Power Controllers that distribute power in a total of eight (8) fuses or fail-safe and/or fault-protected relay outputs protected by PTC.
