Brazil. Brazil's security fair, Exposec, which was scheduled for April 14-16, has been postponed due to the progress of CONVID-19 in the country and in the region. The new dates are not yet known.
Through a statement, the organization explains that "in a demonstration of responsibility and commitment to the health and well-being of exhibitors, visitors, suppliers, employees and all civil society, Cipa Fiera Milano and ABESE - Brazilian Association of Electronic Security Systems Companies, organizers of EXPOSEC 2020, report that, in view of the advance of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), will postpone the celebration of the 23rd edition of the fair, which would take place between April 14 and 16, at the Expo de São Paulo."
Additionally, the organizers highlight the responsibility that is required in this kind of situation: "According to the recommendation issued on March 13 by the Ministry of Health and the Government of the State of São Paulo to cancel all events with a large flow of people, we cannot fail to reiterate our commitment to the safety of all. Cipa Fiera Milano and ABESE are committed and responsible for generating business, content and relationships that contribute to the growth of the security sector. We strive to maintain the event, but the scenario has changed and requires us to take measures of this nature."
The organization commented that it will continue to closely follow the information and guidelines of health authorities in Brazil and abroad and, as soon as the panorama changes, will communicate the new date of the event.
