International. IntelliVision announced the latest version of the IntelliVision Deep Learning-based Audio Analytics Library for smart cameras and other devices.
The IntelliVision Audio Analysis Library can recognize and classify:
Smoke/fire alarms
Glass breakage
Noisy, abnormal noise
"Audio event recognition combined with video analytics provides a more complete picture of a suspicious event at home or on a commercial property," said Vaidhi Nathan, SVP Cameras and Analytics at Nortek Security & Control. "A video camera alone may not detect a broken window in another room, and you won't notice a smoke alarm until it's too late if no one is home. However, analyzing audio and video working together increases the likelihood that no abnormal events will be detected."
The IntelliVision Audio Event Detection Library provides analysis for audio events within a radius of up to 50 feet from the microphone and most smart video cameras today come with an audio channel. Future releases will add support for other noises such as screaming, shooting, crying babies, and barking dogs.
Audio analytics is part of the IntelliVision family of video and audio analytics solutions which also includes facial recognition, object classification (humans, vehicles, pets, aircraft), intelligent object detection, intrusion clock/perimeter, left/deleted object and license plate recognition (LPR/ANPR).
