The Stratocast cloud-based video management system (VSaaS) is designed especially for small and medium-sized businesses. Using a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone, Stratocast ensures access to live videos and video recordings that are securely stored in the cloud.
Many customers around the world rely on the cloud solution, which is designed for small applications with fewer than 50 cameras, or in other words, small and medium-sized businesses. The end customer himself only requires basic computer knowledge, since it is not necessary to install on the site any it infrastructure, such as additional servers, maintenance or updates. This makes the solutions affordable and very transparent to the customer. They only pay per use. Stratocast allows the customer to navigate typical server-based issues such as IT infrastructure or additional employees, lack of storage space, loss of logs and pricing, or non-scalable functionality. The scope of the functions provided can also be extended using the Genetec Security Center for central monitoring. This means that the cloud-based network can grow and develop according to customer needs.
Synergy between Genetec and Mobotix technologies
As is the case with Mobotix, cyber security and data protection are the top priority at Genetec. For example, all communication between the on-premises system and the cloud is fully encrypted with TLS (Transport Layer Security). Genetec guarantees 99.5 percent availability (availability and access to video). All data is backed up three times in the cloud. Genetec works exclusively with hardware and software partners who meet high-quality standards for cybersecurity and data protection.
