International. Milestone Systems received brandon Hall Group's gold award for excellence in the learning category. The "Best Advancement in Creating an Extended Business Learning Program" award was given to Milestone Systems' Learning and Performance Program for its innovative apprenticeship program, aimed at business partners.
This award was intended for written descriptions of apprenticeship programs that were specifically designed for an audience other than the company's internal employees. Earlier, in October 2017, Milestone received two silver awards from Brandon Hall Group, one of them for "Best Certification Program."
"The Human Capital Management Excellence Awards recognize programs that significantly benefit organizations," said Mike Cooke, CEO of the Brandon Hall Group. "Many human capital management departments cannot demonstrate that their initiatives help the company's financial results. Because we are primarily interested in tangible benefits, our awards program is recognized around the world and is highly regarded."
Participants were evaluated by a panel of independent industry experts, analysts and senior executives from the Brandon Hall Group, based on the following criteria: fit to needs, program design, functionality, innovation and tangible overall benefits.

This award endorses the approach we have taken to orient our training and certification assessments towards job competencies and the ability to perform in the field," said Evan Stuckless, Director of Learning and Performance.
This Milestone program has expanded tremendously over the years. Training activities have crossed the confines of the classroom, and certification assessments focus on demonstrating the skills that are needed in job roles for the design, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Milestone XProtect video management software.
Courses are available online, in the form of individual digital learning modules, in which students learn at their own pace, with YouTube tutorials or in traditional classrooms under the guidance of an expert instructor and in person at locations around the world. Online certification assessments can be used to identify knowledge gaps, and passers-through demonstrate their experience with Milestone products.

The winners of the Excellence Awards will be honored at Brandon Hall Group's Human Capital Management Excellence Conference, to be held February 4-6, 2020, at the Hilton West Palm Beach (Florida) hotel. A group of winners will also make presentations in the group sessions, in which they will share their recognized practices during the conference. Milestone Systems shares honors with prestigious companies such as IBM, Kia Motors MetLife and Bridgestone.
