Argentina. The Latin American Security Association (ALAS) confirmed the creation of the National Committee ALAS Argentina, whose purpose is to strengthen the presence of the Association in this region and increase activities related to security.
This new committee joins the already active ones located in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Colombia.
The structure of the committee has been defined by the following members:
the committee has been created with a structure that has been divided as follows:
- President – Daniel Banda (SoftGuard)
- Advisory VP – Germán Sánchez (Honeywell)
- VP of Memberships – Emiliano Navarro (Nanocomm)
- VP of Marketing – Diego Madeo (Garnet Technology)
- Educational VP - José María Placeres (Mircom)
- Regional VP – Gaspar Salord (Control 24)
- Secretary – Marcos Gómez (Securitas)
"With Diego we had the opportunity to be in the relaunch of the ALAS Colombia Committee that took place during the framework of the Bogotá E+S+S Security Fair. At the same time that the meeting was taking place, we looked at each other and understood that we had to do the same in Argentina," said Daniel Banda.
The Argentine committee will base its work on four main axes: to start generating community through its own events and activities, such as "Security Talks". Seek to grow in the number of members through memberships, generating "contagion" to add companies progressively. To this is added the active participation in the creation of regulations, through existing groups in the country such as the IRAM (Argentine Institute of Standardization and Certification) in which ALAS must begin to be a guest to contribute. And finally there is the objective of adding in training, which must be tropicalized to the specific needs of the Argentine context.
"We want to create and update very dynamic trainings, with many bidders and under a concept free of brands. Where we really discuss the technologies and how they are applied and do it together with consumers," added Dani Banda.
For his part, Diego Madeo, said that "in Argentina, being part of WINGS is something that is seen with relevance and that generates prestige, what we have to do is that ALAS becomes a more palpable benefit for the Argentine partner."
