International. Milestone Systems' new Vice President of Research and Development is Tom Bjerre, who had been serving as CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER of TV 2 Danmark A/S, the company officially announced.
The executive will play an important role in the execution of Milestone Systems' cloud strategy, which will allow to offer hybrid solutions that combine applications in the cloud, in addition to those installed on the servers of the companies, in order to meet the needs of users and the different levels of maturity of the market.
One of Tom Bjerre's main responsibilities will be to ensure return on investment, so that the company can create innovations that meet the market demand for smart solutions.
The company explained that it plans to invest in six key technology areas: deepening the integration of device drivers, advanced video rendering, Internet of Things (IoT) and metadata sources, online services, advanced data management and software development kit (SDK) of the Milestone Systems platform.

Tom Bjerre has extensive experience working in companies that offer platform-based solutions and innovations that revolutionize the market, where he forged a mindset compatible with Milestone Systems' vision.

Presence in Latin America
Milestone Systems has been growing in the local market, this year for example, it presented its new office in Mexico City and announced new hires in the Support and Sales teams for the region.
The new office is located on the Paseo de la Reforma, a renowned business area and one of the most important avenues in the Mexican capital. In this new space the company works on the issue of support and demonstrations of the platform to partners looking to analyze the integrations.
One of the goals of the new office is to house the support department, a team that has been growing; last year, the company announced the arrival of two more engineers to this department.
Similarly, the professionals Francisco Lozano for the support team, and David Sánchez for sales in northern Mexico, arrived at the beginning of 2019 with the aim of helping integrators and end users in the region to solve the problems they may have in their facilities.
