International. Milestone Systems announced the release of a new Device Pack 10.1 update package for its Xprotect solution, aimed at partners and customers using the company's video solutions. The latest Device Pack offers new firmware support for partners Axis, FLIR Systems, Hanwha Techwin, Honeywell and Mobotix.
New features include support for SRTP (Real-Time Secure Transport Protocol), a feature that ensures that video streams from the camera are received through a secure end-to-end encrypted transport method, only by authorized clients, for a greater number of Axis devices. In addition, Device Pack 10.1a offers support for "Driver Command with Response" on all Axis drivers, as well as for bug fixes in the connection over HTTPS and for proper handling of the M1065-LW speaker device.
Device Pack 10.1a provides thermal event support for the Mobotix M16 series and new driver support for SonyGenX, including error correction for network edge recovery failures for SNC-VB630 and multicast configuration issues for Sony G7.
The new Device Pack supports the ONVIF 18.06 specification. This includes a number of major enhancements and minor clarifications whose purpose is to improve interoperability between ONVIF-compliant clients and devices. The release of Device Pack 10.0a allows Milestone Systems to support new logic for axis audio device driver inputs/outputs.
The Device Pack also provides support for variable bitrates for Bosch, additional analytical events for Vivotek, as well as for Siqura. Device Pack 10.0a also supports on-BOARD cameras from partners Mobotix and Arecont Vision, companies that launched their first onVIF-based cameras in 2018.
