Latin America. Marcelo Annarumma assumes the presidency for Latin America of IDEMIA. At the head of the Latin American operation, the executive will lead the consolidation of IDEMIA's leadership in the region, where the company's goal is to significantly increase turnover in digital solutions and high value-added services.
For this, it bets on IDEMIA's experience in disruptive technologies aimed at the payments, identification and telecommunications markets.
Upon assuming the presidency of the operation in Latin America, Annarumma accumulates this function with the vice presidency of the Financial Institutions business unit, an area aimed at the segment of banks, transaction processing companies and payment systems, among other activities that require robust security. Annarumma has held the position since July 2018, when she joined IDEMIA.
"IDEMIA developed state-of-the-art technologies and services that resulted in artificial intelligence, biometrics and cryptography solutions, and that made the company an important player in identification, authentication and payment security," explains Annarumma. "In Latin America, we will leverage this knowledge of IDEMIA to meet growing demand and consolidate market leadership," he concluded.
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Annarumma holds a master's degree and doctorate in the same area from the University of Poitiers, in France. His career includes leadership positions in the areas of marketing, sales and operations at companies such as IBM, Fidelity and Aceco.
IDEMIA has operations in 180 countries and employs 14,000 people. In Latin America, the company operates in the main markets, with offices installed in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru.
