Motorola Solutions with Avigilon improves software for Command Center with video analytics

Mexico. Motorola Solutions announced the first major step toward integrating video management software, Avigilon Control CenterTM (ACC), into CommandCentral Aware for Command Center operations. Today, the company announced that the integration has been enhanced by incorporating Avigilon's proprietary self-learning video analytics functionality.

Command Center analysts now have an integrated source for the executable information they need to help frontline forces. In addition to Avigilon's video intelligence, CommandCentral Aware gives them access to incident details and computer-aided dispatch, intelligence and geospatial data logging, as well as real-time alerts from multiple sources.

"CommandCentral Aware is a powerful platform that gives analysts a complete operational picture of what's happening at the scene," said Andrew Sinclair, general manager and corporate vice president of Motorola Solutions' Enterprise Software unit. "With the addition of Avigilon's video analytics technology, analysts can be automatically alerted to critical events that may require further investigation, helping to proactively ensure the safety of people and assets at all times."

Avigilon's video analytics and self-learning functionality can detect the movement of people and vehicles of interest, and alert operators to potential critical events that need to be analyzed in more detail, helping them take decisive action.

"Proactive and eventually preventative security requires advanced video analytics technology," said James Henderson, Avigilon's president and chief operating officer. "The integration of our proprietary analytics functionality into CommandCentral Aware equips analysts with a powerful and unprecedented security and critical communications solution for rapid response and tighter research cycles."

CommandCentral Aware is part of Motorola Solutions' suite of Command Center software that works in an articulated manner to optimize actions from the moment an emergency call is received until the incident is resolved.

Motorola Solutions acquired Avigilon in March 2018. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops and manufactures advanced security and surveillance solutions, including video analysis and network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras and access control solutions.
