Panama. On February 23, the Latin American Security Association was in Panama City with its second Technological Meeting of the year.
On this occasion, the Sercotel Panama Princess Hotel received about 70 attendees who gathered in a day that included academic and technological conferences and exhibition of the latest developments of the 8 brands that sponsored the event.
The academic agenda began with the conference of Aivin Singh, Director of Municipal Security of the Mayor's Office of Panama, who presented the New Monitoring Center of Panama City, which had such an impact that it was agreed to schedule a visit of assistants and WINGS partners to said center.
In addition, Yosti Méndez, NFPA 72 Instructor in Latin America, gave a talk about Smoke Detection Systems for Airports.
On the side of the technological conferences, there was the presence of the brands:
- SCATI, with "Intelligent and proactive solutions that maximize the exploitation of video".
- HID Global, with "Identification of risks in access control systems and the use of 4th generation technologies to mitigate them".
- GENETEC, with "Benefits of a unified security platform".
- NVT Phybridge, with "Break the 100m barrier. Long-range IP connectivity solutions."
- Johnson Controls, who were talking about Cybersecurity.
- CDVI, with "Implementation and management of access control systems for small, medium and large businesses".
- ANIXTER, with "Solutions for commercial buildings. Infrastructure as a platform".
- Xtralis-Vesda (Honeywell company), with "Infallible method to detect a fire and save lives".
The day ended with "The technological route", a networking activity in which it is sought that attendees and exhibitors relate in a more dynamic way.
The next stop of the ALAS Encounters will be in Guayaquil, Ecuador, on March 15, 2018.
