Mexico. Comstor, a SYNNEX Corporation company that operates in North and Latin America and focuses on security, collaboration, networking and data center, reports that Mexico is winning courses to boost IT talent.
Mexico represents a large, important and varied market, making it increasingly difficult to stand out as a professional, especially in the area of technology. What the IT professional is doing to stand out is getting certified.
In this sense, the country has invested a lot to promote talents in the IT area. With hundreds of certifications available, there are many changes that the professional can choose to increase knowledge of technology and acquire new skills.
That momentum happens at an interesting and propitious moment in the history of the country: the Information Technology industry is presenting an annual growth of 7.2%, with the forecast of maintaining that rate until 2019, thanks to the approval of the Telecommunications Reform of 2014. Faced with this scenario, the sector has demanded more professionals in the area to meet the growing demand for services.
Why do I need certifications in IT and business, if I already know how to do my job?
Looking at it from that perspective, the question is limited, since all professionals regardless of the area of human action, today, need and are looking for new certifications, courses, specializations that guarantee differences in the market, as well as companies are looking for innovative solutions to stand out from the competition and get the attention of consumers.
It's no secret that most recruiters use those IT courses as a tool to distinguish between candidates who are equally qualified. That means that the certifications have a competitive character in the market.
IT certifications in particular are highly rated by recruiters who are selecting candidates. Some companies even require that professionals have specific certifications, even if they apply for more general positions.
Opportunities in the market
In this scenario of IT professionals, looking for specializations in the area, there are some e-learning platforms focused on high-demand careers. One of them is the Next U, which presented in the country the School of Information Technology. It will offer web-based certifications to develop consultants specializing in digital security, technical support, storage, hardware and software, computer networking, as well as prepare them for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam.
According to María Isabel Figueroa, Next U's Executive Director of Marketing, the average annual salary in IT job openings in the country is approximately $92,700, currently with the possibility of an estimated increase of 14.5% thanks to the it service offering by 2024.
In this sense, these teaching platforms, focused on high-profile positions, offer excellent opportunities for professional success through IT courses aimed at training specialists.
Mexico is one of the main and most important markets in Latin America in IT and has enormous growth potential. For this reason it can be verified, even with the strong presence of Mexicans in the classrooms, which shows the gigantic interest of the country's IT professionals for courses in the area.
The best thing is that these platforms manage to serve a very varied range of audiences within Mexican IT: those who seek to specialize, update the CV or even change careers. These offer the tools for professionals to acquire all the skills to stand out in high-demand vacancies, such as digital marketing, information technology and Web development.
To better delineate the Mexican market, the country has almost 625,000 IT professionals, of which 400,000 specialized in software and the estimate is that about 110,000 students are trained each year, according to data from the Sectoral Diagnosis of Information and Communication Technologies, prepared by Pro Mexico.
The numbers show that the IT market is going through an excellent positive transformation, in terms of the professionalization of talents in the IT area and companies in the sector. Another interesting point is that the competitiveness of the area tends to increase and create an environment of innovation and development in the country.
