Extreme Networks Launches First Secure Network Solution

Mexico. IT administrators need an easier and faster way to manage the 8.4 billion connected devices expected to overload networks with data this year, according to Gartner. Extreme Networks, Inc. announced the launch of Extreme Automated Campus ™, a cost-effective alternative to traditional networking solutions that offers plug-and-play, simplicity and true business agility.

The solution comes in just two months since Extreme closed its acquisition of Avaya's networking business and combines Avaya's proven Fabric Connect infrastructure, Extreme's Extreme Management Center ™ and Extreme's support services to eliminate network complexity and increase security, as well as deliver greater visibility into the network.

With more than 1,500 unique deployments, spanning all industries, Fabric Connect has proven to deliver 11x faster uptime, 7x faster to repair and provide a 100% reduction in outages as a result of human error, according to the Fabric Connect Customer Experience Research Report. With this announcement, Extreme wireless and wired products have been integrated into the Fabric Connect architecture, giving customers greater choice on how to evolve their network infrastructure. In addition, Avaya's networking portfolio has been integrated into Extreme Management Center, giving you a single, 360-degree view of your network, users, devices, and applications for upgradable business insights.

Two new hardware platforms are also available enabled to add high performance 10/40/100 Gigabits per second at the core of the networks. The first is the VSP 8600, an innovative 7RU-shaped core chassis with over 21 Tbps of switching capacity. The other is the VSP 8404C, a modular 2RU core factor with four plug-in slots that provide highly flexible deployment options. Finally, to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, the end-to-end solution is supported by Extreme's service and support organization.
