Argentina. Milestone Systems was part of the 1st Technological Forum on Security, positioning itself as a benchmark in the region for participating with its solutions in video management software (VMS) in several citizen video surveillance projects in the province of Buenos Aires.
With the aim of sharing experiences related to the application of technology at the service of community security, representatives of different municipalities in the province of Buenos Aires met with experts from the electronic security industry at the 1st Technological Forum on Security, held at the facilities of the Operations and Monitoring Center (COM) of the Municipality of Gral. Pueyrredon (Mar del Plata).
Within the framework of the forum and as the main reference in the development of solutions for video management (VMS), Milestone Systems gave a presentation called "A community, a solution / Make the World see".
There were presented some important technological advances for citizen security, such as the support for local storage for body cameras or the integration with radars by Milestone Systems that allows to manage open areas, even for the detection of drones.
"In short, what we are looking for is to reach the community through the development of tools that allow us to interact with the human being," said Manuel Hernández, CBM of Milestone Systems for South America-Southern Cone.
"Most of the municipalities that represent the Conourbano of the province of Buenos Aires have installed a video surveillance system and in that sense we want to be more proactive, that the operator can visualize in time what is happening, unify the technology, the video analysis algorithms with the devices and that in turn they interact with the people, "- explained the executive.
In the two days of the Technological Forum on Security -July 4 and 5 of this year- representatives of more than 11 municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires participated, such as Tres Arroyos, Bahía Blanca, Vicente López, Lanús, Balcarce, La Plata and La Costa; Likewise, milestone systems partners Axis Comunications and Hikivision were present, as well as allied integrators such as Exanet, and Grupo NEC.
"We want to emphasize the importance of continuing to address and share our practices to optimize the use of technological resources applied to security, and thus continue to grow and promote us as people, neighbors and professionals," said Eng. Sergio F. Andueza, director of the Operations and Monitoring Center of the Municipality of Gral.
Finally, Manuel Hernández indicates that "the idea is to continue developing meetings and new forums to grow as professionals and collaborate with community safety, given that better control systems can serve to improve the quality of life of cities."
