Latin America. The Latin American Security Association – ALAS announced the winners of the fourth edition of the ALAS Award for Security in Latin America and the Caribbean.
With the participation of almost 50 projects from all corners of Latin America, the 6 jurors of the contest had a wide range of projects to evaluate and decide which were the ones with the greatest impact on the safety of the inhabitants of this side of the world.
The participating projects came from the following countries; Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.
In the "Public Projects" category, the winners are:
- 1st place: "Integrated Security Service ECU 911 (SIS ECU 911)" of Ecuador.
- 2nd place: "Installation of fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV, Intrusion, access control and firefighting of the aviation logistics center national army of Colombia" of TECSES – Technology Solutions & Engineering Supplies S.A.S. of Colombia.
- 3rd place: "PAWAWAR" from Ecuador.
In the "Private Project" category, this year there was a very complex scenario since two projects obtained the same score to stay with the third place in the category, in this case the two participants will be awarded.
The winners are:
- 1st place: "The solution for the social impact and deaths of children of the
- train" by Techno Aware from Brazil.
- 2nd place: "Alarm and Fire Detection System for Tower Building
- Diana" by Asintelix from Mexico.
- 3rd place: "Panama Pacifico" by Sicon Estrategies de Panamá.
- 3rd place: "Kansas City Southern Security Operations Center" of Kansas City Southern de México.
The projects "Integrated Security Service ECU 911 (SIS ECU 911)" of Ecuador and "The solution for the social impact and deaths of train children" of Brazil will be 2 success stories that will be presented during the framework of the ALAS Management Summit that will be held on July 26 and 27, 2017 in Miami, FL.
All winners will be awarded during the Award Ceremony by the Association on July 26.
