Mexico. Infosecurity Mexico recently had incidents, in its inauguration it had the presence of Rodrigo Ibarra, Show Director of the event; Gabriel Bernal Gómez, Vice President of ASIS Mexico Chapter; and Alberto Olivas Sánchez, General Director of Governance of Information Technologies and Communications of the Oficialía Mayor of the Government of Mexico City, who was in charge of officially declaring the beginning of the exhibition.
For Rodrigo Ibarra, this event represents a unique opportunity to show the most advanced solutions in cybersecurity not only for the private sector, but also for the public, "so it configures a growth opportunity for the IT sector due to the development policies and the interest that the local and federal government has shown in this matter, with which a wide growth potential is glimpsed for our clients, associates and all professionals in this segment".
Infosecurity Mexico formed an exhibition floor in which more than 40 companies of different specialties were presented, although all focused on offering cutting-edge technological products and solutions, among which were Arbor Networks, S21sec, Darktrace, Information Security Consultants, Datawarden, Globalsign and Feitian Technologies, to name just a few.
Rodrigo Ibarra also explained that in parallel to the exhibition three different spaces for professional updating were held, which corresponded to the Infosecurity Summit, Infosecurity Coffe and the Smart Defense Arena. "In the first of them, the main trends in terms of new cybersecurity strategies and technologies as well as prevention within the Internet of Things environment were presented; in the second, practical and successful cases were presented, as well as experiences related to the solution of cybersecurity problems; and in the third, the most recent investigations and tools against cybercrime were addressed."
On the other hand, there was an opportunity for attendees to participate in the CCISO – Certified Chief Information Security Officer, which certifies leaders in the field of information security in the world. "This program transfers the expertise and knowledge of professionals and experts related to the most critical areas in the development and maintenance of a successful computer security program."
"And as a complement, the CND - Certified Network Defender certification was also carried out, which includes the fundamentals on which ethical hackers and security analysts are trained, who can prevent and respond to incidents, in such a way that organizations reduce the impact of an incident before it becomes more critical, "- Rodrigo Ibarra finished.
