Latin America. OT (Oberthur Technologies), the GSMA's SAS-SM (Security Accreditation Scheme) certification for its subscriber management platform for eSIM for consumer devices in its European data centre. In this way, OT becomes the first company in the world to obtain this certification for a remote SIM provisioning server for consumers, also known as SM-DP+ (Subscription Management Data Preparation).
Thanks to OT's eSIM subscriber management solution, mobile operators can offer comprehensive connectivity services that meet the needs of the consumer market. Subscribers can remotely assign their identification data for subscription to devices, without compromising security at all.
The certification of OT's subscriber management solution complements the recent SAS UP v7.0 certification from OT's factory in Vitré, France, for the production of OT's eSIM called DakOTa. DakOTa's offer is aimed at both:
To the M2M market with DakOTa v3.11, already selected for a worldwide implementation by an industrial OEM,
to the consumer market with DakOTa 4.0, which offers customers the ability to directly manage their connectivity plans on their devices, in accordance with GSMA2 Phase 2 specifications.
"Our state-of-the-art data centers are an essential asset for strategic solutions for our customers. These certifications are further proof to our customers of OT's great commitment to security and data protection in the eSIM technology environment. The GSMA certification for eSIM production and the SM-DP+ capabilities of our solution confirms our legitimate position in the consumer and IoT markets," said Viken Gazarian, Deputy General Manager of OT's Connected Device Manufacturers unit.
