Latin America. The Latin American Security Association (ALAS) has instituted a competition to reward the best Security Projects executed in Latin America. The award ceremony of the mimso will be held within the framework of the ALAS Management Summit that will take place in Miami from July 26 to 27, 2017.
The objective of the Contest is to promote, disseminate and stimulate the realization of projects related to the area of Security in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to encourage creativity and technological innovation in Security projects.
The projects will compete in two categories of public and private projects.
Public Projects: These are those security projects aimed at protecting the population, property, vehicles and other goods when they are in spaces, buildings and means of public transport, typically being the users and / or owners of the same government agencies.
Private Projects: These are those security projects aimed at protecting people, property, vehicles and goods in private spaces. Typically being the users and / or owners of the same organizations or private companies.
Contest Schedule:
- Deadline for abstract submission: February 10, 2017
- Jury Announcement: February 17, 2017
- Communication of the projects pre-selected to compete: February 17, 2017
- Deadline for submission of projects: March 17, 2017
- Announcement of the winning projects: May 5, 2017
- Award ceremony and presentation of the project: July 26 and 27, 2017
Awards
- An attendance package for one (1) person to the 2017 ALAS Management Summit in Miami (includes airfare, hotel and meals)
- 15-minute conference to present the winning work within the ALAS Summit
- One year of regular membership free of charge
- Free access to the WINGS Summit for people belonging to the winning group (the amount varies depending on the place occupied)
- A Plaque (Trophy) of recognition
- A press release announcing the winners
- Announcement and interview in ALAS News
- Publication of the Project in ALAS News
- Scholarship to attend ALAS Courses
