According to the perception of citizens reflected in the 10th National Survey of Urban Public Security (ENSU) conducted by INEGI, during December 2015 it was analyzed that 67.7% of the population over 18 years and older considered that living in their city is unsafe; 66% of the residents of the cities studied mentioned that in the last three months they decided not to wear ostentatious accessories to avoid suffering a crime; 62.8% indicated that they modified their habits regarding the safety of their family by denying that their minor children leave their homes; 49% changed their routines according to when traveling around their home after 20:00 hours and 28.5% changed their habits in terms of making visits from family and / or friends.
