International. OT (Oberthur Technologies), a leading global provider of integrated security products, services and software solutions, today announced the opening of two new state-of-the-art data centers in Europe and the United States to host and operate the growing demand for digital security solutions. These data centers will form the core of the OT Digital Factory.
OT's huge push into mobile payments (for financial services institutions and mobile network operators) and IoT (e.g. in the automotive sector) has led to a growing need for secure remote management solutions and platforms. As a result, OT has invested in two new data centers, one in Bucharest, Romania, and one in Washington, USA, of 240 m² and 265 m² respectively, which are at the forefront of technology with:
- Specialized high security zones for each type of platform (financial services, NFC payments, subscriber management, IoT, etc.)
- Ability to operate hundreds of customer platforms with management services and secure cloud environments
- Compliance with GSMA specifications and various security certifications (PCI-CP, VOTA, VCBP, PCI-TSP, etc.)
- Disaster recovery capability, supported by data center interconnection and remote backup duplication
- Operation and monitoring 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- These two new centers will strengthen OT's highly efficient data center network and allow it to offer greater service availability and scalability to its customers, especially in terms of operating and hosting strategic business solutions in a fully secure Cloud SaaS (software as a service) model.
"Our goal is to better serve our customers by hosting and operating secure cloud solutions. This additional investment in our Digital Factory, with the opening of our two new data centers in Europe and the United States, will help us offer our customers an optimal and cost-effective level of service," said Marek Juda, Managing Director of OT's Digital Platform Nursery.
