BITS arrives in Mexico, powered by CeBIT

Mexico. CeBIT, the most important exhibition fair for information technologies, telecommunications, software and services in the world arrives in our continent and Mexico will host in November 2017; this was announced by its organizers during the launch event, which brought together organizations of the sector in Mexico and representatives of the most outstanding companies in the industry.

The IT industry in Mexico shows a dynamic development during the last decade with a growth of 14%, as it has an open and free market-oriented economy, which benefits from its geographical proximity to the US, relatively low labor and a stable and extensive ICT infrastructure, key factors to boost economic development; This was pointed out by the Director of Hannover Fairs Mexico, Bernd Rohde, who said that this situation "makes Mexico a very important investment attraction point throughout Latin America given its growing importance in export within the NAFTA region and Central America, and therefore in a strategic market for BITS".

BITS Mexico is a B2B event for leaders, startups, SMEs and large companies, which will offer a wide range of trends, disruptive technologies and digital topics. It will cover topics such as Big Data, Cloud, E-commerce, CRM/CRP, Datacenter, Security, Electronics, Social Media, Audio/Video and Printing.

BITS is part of the CeBIT brand (Centrum der Büro-und Informationstechnik)) for its acronym in German, a fair that was born in 1970 in Hanover and currently consists of 450,000 m² of exhibition floor and is visited by more than 200,000 people. It takes place every spring and is considered a barometer of information technology at a global level. Today CeBIT is held in three more cities: Sindey, Istanbul and Shanghai, which serves the Eurasian market and with its fourth edition in Mexico, seeks to provide the market in America.

Jorge Arizmendi, Director of Trade Show Factory, a 100% Mexican company and partner of the event in Mexico, said that "this alliance with Deutsche Messe for the edition of BITS in our country, represents a unique opportunity for the market since there is no B2B event in the entire continent that brings the industry together and brings it closer to companies that need access to the latest in infrastructure, technology solutions, applications and services for its development".

BITS has the support of important Mexican associations such as: AMITI (Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry), CANIETI (National Chamber of the Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology Industry), as well as AMIPCI (Mexican Internet Association), CANACINTRA (National Chamber of the Transformation Industry) and EMAAC (Entrepreneur Mexico – Germans).

Finally, it was detailed that BITS Mexico will be held at Centro Banamex, in Mexico City on November 15, 16 and 17, 2017. It will have an exhibition floor of 5,000 m2 and the visit of 4,000 directors of companies from the main industrial sectors of the region is expected.
