Latin America. HID Global announced that Datawatch Systems, a long-time partner of the HID Advantage program (gold category), has transformed the occupant experience of numerous high-rise buildings since it began testing the implementation of the HID Mobile Access solution .
To date, Datawatch has deployed 3,000 mobile IDs at major commercial properties in the United States. The solution is responding to the growing demand from property management companies and occupants, who are looking for better ways to interact with the buildings where they live and work.
"We are seeing an increasing number of building managers and occupants who want to use their phones for access control instead of traditional ID cards or security devices," said Kenny Reed, director of business development at Datawatch. "HID Mobile Access® has not only made it easier for us to retain our existing customers, it has also helped us expand our market share with a visionary offering that easily integrates with smart building technology to create a more connected environment for our customers."
Datawatch has installed HID Mobile Access for building access and access to internal doors, common areas, elevators, single rooms and apartments at nearly 30 commercial properties in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Raleigh, NC and other major cities. Among Datawatch customers who are employing HID Mobile Access® in the buildings they manage, there are CIM Group, Jones Lang LaSalle, Fruition Partners, to name just a few. Additionally, the company has installed more than 1,200 iCLASS SE® readers enabled with mobile technology in new buildings that are under its administration, which allow both management companies and their occupants to incorporate mobile access at any time.
The company manages the HID Mobile Access® solution with Datawatch DirectAccess®, which can also analyze the load requirements of the HVAC system depending on whether a person enters or leaves a room or a common area and accordingly adjusts the temperature settings. Also, turn off the lights when the last person leaves a certain area. In the future, Datawatch will explore the implementation of greater integration of mobile access control with building air conditioning and heating systems, boilers, video surveillance and other utility systems.
"Datawatch's numerous installations of the HID Mobile Access® solution are proof that the solution brings benefits to all parties involved, both partners and end users, especially at a time when it is of the utmost importance that users have the freedom to choose different types of credentials based on their specific habits," said Harm Radstaak, vice president and managing director of HID Global's Physical Access Control Division. "The interest of building managers and occupants to adopt mobile access reflects something we are seeing in several of the most important industries, where the incorporation of mobile access in the near future is a fact," he said.
Datawatch is also doing trial implementations of the new managed services edition of HID Mobile Access® (Managed Service Edition) that extends its credential management capabilities. The latest addition of HID Global's mobile access solution, which was specifically designed to be implemented in the uses and business model of managed service providers such as Datawatch, allows you to remotely distribute mobile IDs to authorized employees and visitors for numerous and very different organizations, for example, tenants of commercial properties, distributed by different buildings in the world. This new level of centralization reduces maintenance costs and optimizes remote assistance capabilities for users.
