Mexico. Hikvision describes its participation in Expo Seguridad México 2016 as successful, as it served as a platform for the launch of some of its most important projects for this year.
Mexico is now one of the most important markets in Latin America, to the point that the company is currently making progress in setting up an office with trained personnel to support the projects it develops in that country.
For this reason, the most representative security fair in the sector allowed Hikvision, supported by its partner SYSCOM, to get to know its current and future customers directly.
Hikvision brought to Expo Seguridad the Turbo HD 3.0 Technology, which supports analog video in high definition on coaxial cable and which presents improvements over the previous Turbo HD technology. This new development allows video transmission of up to 5MPx resolution and up to 1200m transmission distance. The new Turbo HD 3.0 DVRs have inputs for cameras with 4K resolution.
It also presented Smart HD Technology 2.0, which includes advanced analytics with cameras specific to vertical markets such as retail, which make it possible to count people and make heat maps.
The Blazer PRO, an all-in-one device that combines an NVR unit of up to 256 channels and a server with Windows 8.1 pre-installed along with the license and the HIKVISION iVMS5200 client-server video management platform, was also part of the company's novelties during Expo Seguridad, as well as a series of solutions for vertical segments such as retail. banking, safe city and mobile.
Another novelty was the H264+ technology, which is an improvement of the H.264 codec patented by Hikvision. This technology reduces bandwidth consumption by up to 50% and is incorporated into most current Hikvision devices, from some Turbo HD 3.0 recorders to some models of IP series 2 cameras.
The UAV (Drone), or Hikvision's self-piloted drone, used especially in rescue missions and by military units, was also presented, and which became another of the great novelties of the fair. This equipment is marketed together with a management platform for these units, automating the piloting tasks between more than one device, also offering different advanced options.
"Mexico is a very diverse market full of opportunities with medium and large projects. Despite this, as in other Latin American markets, many traditional brands are declining, which gives us many opportunities to make ourselves better known in the project market," says José García, Marketing Manager of Hikvision for Latin America.
Mexico, along with Brazil, is the largest market for Hikvision in the region, in which the Company already has a leading position together with its commercial partner SYSCOM.
Today, Latin America is an emerging market, and generally a price market, but it is also full of opportunities in the project market.
"Hikvision has a complete product spectrum, from basic product lines to the highest level solutions, with competitive prices and with the support of being the largest CCTV equipment factory in the world, number 1, with more than 6000 engineers working day by day supporting our products and solutions", says José García.
In addition, Hikvision has products of proven quality for years throughout the continent. That's backed by more than 600 patents demonstrating Hikvision's momentum for innovation.
