International. Hanwha Techwin (formerly Samsung Techwin), a video surveillance manufacturer of recognized international prestige, presents a solution of low consumption and high storage capacity in collaboration with Veracity, leader in IP transmission and storage for video surveillance. The solution of both brands, which includes the latest generation of high-definition cameras from Hanwha Techwin, SSM video management software and COLDSTORE™ storage, offers the most efficient "direct-to-disk" system on the market that also works without the need for a network video recorder.
The Open Platform features of wiseNetIII cameras allow you to record directly from IP cameras to the COLDSTORE disk set. In addition, the use of sabotage-proof coaxial cable Ethernet technology, LINKLOCK™, available exclusively on Hanwha Techwin products, is an integral barrier to all unauthorized network access, as it completely blocks external IP connections to any cable or equipment that has been tampered with or disconnected.
"The collaborations we have with specialist technology providers such as Veracity are central to our ongoing investments in R&D. And they are a clear demonstration of our commitment to maintaining market leadership and providing our end users with a comprehensive security solution," said Cheol Kyo Kim, President and CEO of Hanwha Techwin Co. Limited.
"In addition, our cameras and our sophisticated and professional SSM video management software, together with Coldstore™, offer a truly unique and impressive architecture: Trinity™. And it's an excellent example of how, by working in harmony with our technology partners, Hanwha Techwin has become the number one benchmark in video surveillance solutions."
"This global collaboration will allow us to jointly unveil a high-performance, low-power solution that offers installers and system integrators a competitive advantage. It also offers end users a comprehensive, highly affordable video surveillance system that takes full advantage of our open platform and the technology of our high-definition cameras, while minimizing the total cost of ownership (CTP)."
The global collaboration was formalized at a ceremony at Veracity's UK headquarters in Prestwick, Scotland, on April 6, 2016.
International Open Platform Opportunities
The solution benefits from the processing power of Hanwha Techwin's WiseNetIII open platform cameras, which allow multiple specialized video analytics applications to run simultaneously, as well as Veracity's award-winning Trinity™ solution that can burn directly to disc.
The solution offers users a reliable and scalable system that does not require a server or a network recording device. Although its architecture is simplified, it supports audio, metadata and video, and offers innovative features such as switching in case of failure at the camera level, recoverability against network interruptions and fully redundant recording, optional.
"I am delighted that Hanwha Techwin has chosen to work with us to promote innovative video surveillance solutions globally that capitalize on pioneering technologies," said Alastair McLeod, CEO of the Veracity Group. "Trinity™ offers what we believe is the most reliable, complete and energy-efficient video surveillance recording solution on the market."
"We anticipate that more Hanwha Techwin video surveillance solutions and products such as Linklock™ and Trinity™ will be specified worldwide for the same application, something that has already happened with different major projects that have been granted to us jointly or that are being developed in different market sectors such as urban video surveillance, residential sector and hostels, hospitals and service stations'.
