International. Bosch Security Systems was chosen as the supplier of an integrated fire detection and voice evacuation system for the domestic and international terminals of Antalya Airport in southern Turkey.
Served by 108 airlines, Antalya Airport offers its passengers more than 600 connections to different destinations, some of which are only seasonal. The airport receives more than 25 million passengers each year, placing it among the 50 busiest in the world.
Through the terminals, Bosch's local partner, Ateksis, installed 3,500 420 Series automatic fire detectors, which are connected to six 5000 Series networked modular fire panels. These panels can be configured and operated via two remote keyboards. The fire detection system is interconnected with the fully digital PRAESIDEO emergency sound and public address system.
With more than 1,800 ceiling speakers and speakers and 300 sound projectors, this system spans several independent zones within terminal buildings to enable the transmission of precise and specific evacuation instructions in the event of an emergency. The PRAESIDEO system includes two network controllers, 48 distributed power amplifiers and 25 call stations. It also has an automatic volume control that automatically increases the sound level when the building is full of people.
Voice evacuation and fire detection systems are integrated through the Bosch Building Integration System (BIS), which enables centralized control and operation. Thanks to its open and modular architecture, the solution can be expanded without any inconvenience to accompany the growth of Antalya Airport. This same advantage allows third-party solutions, such as video surveillance, access control and even flight information systems, to be easily integrated with PRAESIDEO.
