International. Dahua Technology, a manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, China, recently hosted the 13th ONVIF Developer's Plugfest.
The event was held precisely at the Dahua Headquarters in Hangzhou, China, from November 11 to 13. More than 57 high-level technical experts representing IP-based manufacturers from around the world attended this test event.
As a full member of ONVIF, Dahua was honored to host this important annual event. ONVIF is a non-profit organization, driving the global standardization of IP-based physical security products that was founded in 2008. Its members include manufacturers, system integrators, end users, members of the security media, as well as security professionals. The ONVIF standard is currently aimed at IP video surveillance and access control.
The Plugfest allowed manufacturers to test devices for compliance with the ONVIF standard and also provided the opportunity to simulate a real-world operating environment for testers. For example, the test includes interoperability testing between multiple devices' that works at once as a single system, working together.
"At the 13th ONVIF Developer's Plugfest, several manufacturers test devices and customers for compliance with the three profiles: Profile S, Profile G and Profile Q. This is a reflection of the growing adoption of ONVIF standards in the market," said Takahiro Iwasaki, President of ONVIF's Technical Services Committee Taskforce, Developers' Plugfest.
