Mexico. Key Business Process Solutions, wholesale distributor of telecommunications equipment, networks, video surveillance and professional software solutions, presents the Panasonic WV-ASF900 Facial Recognition System, which offers the possibility of running facial recognition in an IP security system.
By implementing Panasonic technology in both the cameras and the server, it is possible to have accurate information about who is accessing your facilities. In addition, you may receive analytics information for markenting, such as people counting, age information, and gender assessment.
Facial recognition works through algorithms that identify facial features from an image or video of a person's face. A certain algorithm can analyze the relative location, shape, and size of certain features, such as eyes, nose, mouth, chin, and cheekbones, and then compare them to a search of other images to find similar features.
Anyone who has received suggestions from Facebook or Google to tag their own face or that of their friends in a photograph may have felt a slight chill run down their spine.
The WV-ASF900 is useful for any type of installation that requires a high level of security or where exact information on who accesses the building is necessary. You can receive the information from several cameras, from different sites at the same time and collect all the information in real time.
The WV-ASF900 server can be deployed in any existing Panasonic IP installation for improvement. The face tie resource is split between the camera and the server, which means that the server can work with up to 20 cameras at the same time. Facial recognition is performed in real time and the operator can easily access the recorded images related to the face using the GUI integrated into the current Panasonic monitoring software – the WV-ASM200 and the WV-ASM970 in combination with the WV-ASE321.
