Argentina. The Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway (AUBASA) was distinguished for its technology with the first place for the best Security project in Latin America and the Caribbean 2015 that, in its second edition, was delivered by the Latin American Security Association (ALAS), the main trade union organization of the security industry in the region with 17 years of experience.
The president of AUBASA, Gonzalo Atanasof, received the award within the framework of the ALAS Management Summit that took place in Miami. There, he said that thanks to this technology put at the service of users "the facts of insecurity were reduced by 80%."
In this sense, he emphasized that by decision of the provincial government, headed by Daniel Scioli, "that highway is now more modern in Argentina" and was proud to be part of this transformation in which the "Buenos Aires-La Plata is heading to be a road example for the country and Latin America."
When defining the winner, a jury of experts highlighted the "impact on comprehensive security" of the camera system that runs along the entire route of the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway while highlighting the quality of innovation and high technology applied to security and control. This recognition is given within the framework of the 180 cameras that were already installed by AUBASA during the past year.
The images generated by the cameras that cover the trace and tolls of the corridor that connects La Plata with the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires arrive at a Monitoring Center that works 24 hours a day, which allows a rapid deployment of the emergency teams of the Highway, Police, Firefighters, ambulances or Civil Defense. Not to mention, the crossing of data with the Collection Agency of the Province of Buenos Aires (ARBA), which through the recognition of patent plates provides greater precision and certainty at the time of the audit.
In addition to AUBASA, with its UltraIP video security system developed by the Argentine company Danaide S.A., the Urban Video Surveillance System project of the firm Kernel Conectividad Productiva S.A. of Mexico was distinguished with the second place, while the Integral Event Management System 911 implemented by Sonda S.A of Uruguay obtained the third place.
