Mexico. During the inauguration of the fifth edition of the Latin American Congress of Security ASIS Mexico, organized by ASIS Mexico Chapter, Hiram Almeida, Secretary of Public Security of the Federal District (SSPDF), said that the best public policies on security must be created through the synergy of the police forces with the different sectors of society.
The head of the SSPDF, who attended on behalf of the Head of Government of the Federal District, Miguel Ángel Mancera, indicated that this type of space is necessary in which comprehensive analyses are carried out on new technologies, strategies and security training.
For his part, Samuel Cacho de la Teja, president of ASIS Mexico Chapter and host of the event, thanked all those present for their attendance and announced that, due to the solidity that the association already has, the Seguro Aprendo program was initiated, which aims to favor the future of the culture of safety in schools at the primary level.
He pointed out that there is already the collaboration of agencies, companies, and local and federal authorities; and invited the security professionals present at the congress to join this initiative, by allocating three hours a year of their time to give talks in the participating school institutions.
The opening day was attended by Dave Tyson, President of ASIS International; Enrique Galindo Ceballos, commissioner general of the Federal Police (PF) of the National Security Commission (CNS) of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob); Alfonso Ramón Bagur, commissioner of the Federal Protection Service of the CNS of the Segob; Luis Esteban Islas Bacilio, head of the Prospective Planning and Private Security Unit of the CNS of the Segob; Enrique Tapia Padilla, Senior Regional President for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean at ASIS International; César Romero Padilla, executive vice president of ASIS Mexico Chapter; Vicente Pérez Mendoza, secretary of the same association; Jesús Bermúdez Gómez, executive director of GPR Private Security and sponsor of the opening ceremony.
