The authorities of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón denounced a few days ago that the students of the Local University Federation (FUL), who took over the central campus more than two months ago, destroyed the surveillance cameras and committed other excesses.
Also, the equipment that is still working is covered. In the Faculty of Humanities, for example, there is a piece of equipment covered with a celestial plastic, a situation that does not allow the use of the equipment, which represents a huge deficit in terms of security in the university cloister.
The secretary general of the UMSS, Rolando López, recalled that the cameras were installed to control the assets of the institution. He also complained because the dogs that guard the campus were assaulted in the aforementioned events.
