Colombia. The Ministry of Security of Medellín announced that the Circunvalar Garden will have a total of 92 cameras that will cover the 3.8 kilometers of this Metropolitan Green Belt.
The equipment that will be available in this new sector of the city, had a value of $ 11,988 million (about US $ 4.7 million) and was achieved thanks to an agreement between the Urban Security Company, ESU, and the Secretariat of Security.
There will be 92 cameras, one of them border type for day and night monitoring, with a range of up to 10 km, the rest will be integrated into a closed circuit TV and will have perimeter detection of up to 1.8 km, as announced by the Ministry of Security.
Likewise, in order to broadcast security messages, live or pre-recorded, 50 of the cameras will have a built-in audio system.
"It is a long-term comprehensive planning and intervention strategy to consolidate the Metropolitan Green Belt, Jardín Circunvalar, as a territory of life and equity," the Security Secretariat said in a statement.
