International. HID Global presented its wide range of citizen identification solutions at secure document world 2015 in the UK from 9 to 11 June. With the first demonstration of incorporating secure citizen ID credentials into smartphones, the company will usher in a new era in government ID programs.
It will also take advantage of the event to present some products, among others, its flexible portfolio of data pages for electronic passports.

Citizen IDs on smartphones: HID Global demonstrated how citizens can carry government identification documents on their smartphones and other mobile devices, thanks to Seos technology. This new offering builds on HID Global's leadership in the secure mobile ID market and in management platforms already implemented in sectors such as education and hospitality, in particular the SPG KeylessTM used at Starwood hotels, a leading keyless entry system developed by HID Global and its parent company, Assa Abloy.
Complete offering of polycarbonate data pages: HID Global will showcase its customizable data page offering, a leading solution aimed at governments that want to enjoy maximum flexibility to tailor their e-passport programs to their nation's specific needs. The data pages, whose effectiveness has been recognized with the award given to the Irish e-passport program, feature inlays, durable, tamper-proof assembly technology and a unique crack prevention feature.
Executives from the company and its distribution partner Botosoft also participated as guest speakers during the event, whose presentations dealt with topics such as:
"Mobiles and lists: virtual IDs are coming," where Rob Haslam, global vice president of HID Global's Government ID Solutions division, discussed the special needs of those governments that want to offer their citizens secure smartphone credentials that can coexist with physical documents, in order to provide security and privacy from start to finish.
"The West African Exam Council Mobile Identification System", by Femi Agoro, director of Botosoft (Lagos, Nigeria), who shared with attendees details of this successful program, designed to authenticate, record and monitor with a high level of security the identities of students and the results of the exams using secure mobile readers.
