Network Video Technologies (NVT) announces the launch of its new 24-port NV-CLEER24 long-range coaxial Ethernet managed switch, capable of transforming a coaxial infrastructure into a reliable, powered network, ideal for IP cameras, a device specially designed to facilitate the migration of analog video to IP, without altering the data flow of the LAN network.
CLEER switches (Coax Leveraged Ethernet Extended Reach / Ethernet long range over coaxial) are based on the renowned PoLRE® (Power over Long Reach Ethernet) technology or power over Ethernet long range, which offers users an exclusive and secure route, with enough bandwidth to transmit video without relying on LAN data, because the transmission is physically separate.
This solution is a key step for those users interested in migrating analog to IP technology, which is repeatable, predictable and scalable regardless of size or location. In addition, because it allows the creation of a unique path to transmit video and data, it reduces the complexity, costs, and information loss risks that can occur by accommodating a video layer to the existing data structure.
