Brazil. A couple of weeks ago, Brazil hosted the largest event of the electronic security industry in Latin America, Exposec, an international security fair that was held at the Sao Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. There were three days in which more than 10,000 articles were presented in electronic security, information security, public safety, as well as fire prevention and extinction.
According to the AMERICAN NGO Social Progress Imperative, which makes a ranking of quality of life in 132 countries (Social Progress Index), violence is one of the most critical points in Brazil. Among the main aspects analyzed, personal security in the country appears as the 11th most insecure in the world. "Electronic security systems are providers of essential information and tools in preventive work," explains Selma Migliori, president of ABESE (Brazilian Business Association of Electronic Security Systems).
According to ABESE data, the security segment electronics alone earned $5.1 billion in 2014. The forecast for 2015 is for a 10% increase. The segment brings together 22,000 companies and generates 220,000 direct jobs and more than 2 million indirect jobs.
"EXPOSEC is the most important event of the electronic security industry in Latin America. For the 2015 edition, integrated solutions, equipment and services were presented for all needs," said Marco Antonio Mastrandonakis, Director of the Fiera Milano Group.
Exposec year after year becomes a unique opportunity to learn about the latest advances in technology, services and information in terms of electronic security. It is also a meeting point for business generation, as it brings together the important players in the industry.
Organized by Fiera Milano, with the completion of ABESE the 18th edition had 700 exhibitors, national and international, in an area of 30,000 m2, and brought together about 40 thousand industry professionals in the three days of the fair.
