Colombia. Securing oil & gas assets has become a priority for companies operating in Latin America and the Caribbean, a region that holds one-fifth of the world's oil.
Latin America and Caribbean Oil & Gas Security 2015 Forum will bring together high-level security representatives from major oil and gas companies to address those current security issues affecting their operations in the region.

The Colombian Army's Air Assault Division will open the Forum with a Keynote Lecture on Day 1. This presentation will be followed by an overview of terrorism in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the FARC and the ELN's roles in Colombia; Shining Path activities in the Peruvian region, and the threat posed by the Paraguayan People's Army. This presentation, led by Schlumberger's Security Advisor for Latin America, will also address the threat of narco-terrorism and Islamic extremism, the terrorist activities that have increasingly affected Latin America's oil & gas sectors in recent years.
