Mexico. Axis Communications secured the perimeter with its network cameras, during the arrival of the celebrities at the 57th Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles, USA.
The serious crimes division of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), was responsible for monitoring all live activities around the "Staples Center", thanks to the technology used by dome cameras that offer an extraordinary quality of HDTV video and 18x zoom, which allowed to observe from a distance everything that happened before, during and after the awards ceremony.
The activities in real time were being monitored from the buildings adjacent to the Arena and connected to the Emergency Operations Center via Wireless. Everything was recorded, stored on the network and managed through an advanced computer connection.
The following link shows a small video recording, captured by one of the cameras to observe the resolution and appreciate the bandwidth very well monitored.
The resolution was 800x400 to keep the bandwidth monitored.
In 2014, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) used Axis Communications cameras to provide video surveillance service and safeguard the safety of people and places during the 86th edition of the Oscars. This February 22 Axis will be present again during the 'red carpet' of celebrities at the Kodak Theater.
