International. As part of the environmentally responsible processes that are part of its business policy, HID Global seeks to implement in its production plants around the world the international environmental management standards ISO 14001:2004. The first of the company's operations to obtain this certification is the plant in Malaysia, an achievement announced in April this year.
According to Kevin Teehan, Director of Corporate Sustainability at HID Global, "This demonstrates the company's commitment to the environment. ISO 14001 certification is increasingly becoming a requirement of customers and we are excited about the level of excellence that this standard offers, as well as being part of those who own it around the world," he said.
Other HID Global facilities are also designed to meet the low environmental impact requirements that are part of the company's philosophy, such as the new plant in Austin, Texas, which opened in January of this year and which according to Jason Bohrer, General Manager of North American Operations at HID Global, it has advanced sustainability features and innovations in the efficient use of energy, following the parameters of LEED certification, and work continues to comply with the ISO 14001:2004 standard there.
Committed to the care of the environment, HID Global is working to comply with environmental management regulations in its different headquarters, with Latin America being one of the regions in which it seeks to implement this environmental responsibility initiative. For the company it is very important to identify and control its impact on the environment where it develops and continuously improve its environmental performance.
