Ciudad Victoria already has its surveillance system

altMexico. The Control, Communications and Computing Command Center of the Ministry of Public Security to know the urban video surveillance system installed in this Capital (in Tamaulipas), was visited by Governor Egidio Torre Cantú, accompanied by representatives of civil society, they made a tour of the facilities.


In this project that includes state-of-the-art technology, the State Government allocated resources for more than 105 million pesos (US$8.5 million) and consists of the installation of 326 high-resolution cameras and 41 citizen poles for the prevention of crime, which places this city as the only one in the country to use high technology in urban surveillance.

The camera system is distributed in one hundred sites (90 poles, seven arches and three buildings) and consists of two control centers; ten nodes; 31 emergency modules; 28 plate readers in seven road accesses); 150 km of optical fiber; ten radio bases; 20 radio subscribers; three braced towers; eight servers; ten monitoring stations; a video Wall; a video manager program with a capacity of 30 days of storage.

The functions that it allows to perform are that of surveillance; tracking, plate reading; video analysis with the ability to identify people and vehicles, night vision; research; selective video recovery; historical video archive.

This innovative system is operated by highly trained personnel and military and Federal Police personnel also operate for its monitoring.

The functionality of this video surveillance system has the ability to incorporate private initiative systems such as warehouses, factories, hotels, industrial parks among others.

These high-resolution video cameras allow you to recognize plates and faces of people at great distances, even at night, which provides greater certainty and it will be in an approximate time of one month when all this equipment is installed one hundred percent throughout the city.

With regard to the citizen post, its main function is to create a bridge between citizens and the government through which the social prevention of crime will be massively addressed.

This equipment is equipped with an audio system, connected with a computer to the State Crime Prevention Center, where through all the cameras, citizens can be linked directly to the C4 and ask for any type of help receiving support immediately.
